Debate Club Competition At The Houses Of Parliament
BackPupils from Gaynes school delivered inspiring and powerful speeches in Parliament, following two months of dedication to their school’s debate club. The dedication and commitment that each student showed was exceptional. They attended weekly debate sessions, and were selected to represent their school at Parliament.
The competition was supported by charity, Impart UK, who helped prep the students for the event. Students debated whether the London Mayor should make fighting crime his top priority.
“Debate club has given me the confidence and skills to speak up. I never imagined I’d be standing in Parliament, but I’m grateful for the support and encouragement I recieved.” (Year 10 student)
