Barclays Life Skills Workshop

On Tuesday, 22nd April, our Year 8 students participated in a Barclays LifeSkills workshop hosted by The Talent Foundry.

Linking to our Careers curriculum and the previous Barclays Life skills workshop, the session encouraged students to stretch their creativity to support their learning across the curriculum and create opportunities in the workplace.

Additionally, in this follow up session students developed an understanding of workplace behaviours and how they could be key for future success. In these activities students had the opportunity to explore a range of workplace behaviours, the role of body language and how this can help them communicate in interview scenarios, and how to deal with challenging situations in an appropriately assertive manner. The session also supported the understanding of diversity, inclusion and its value to the workforce.
