Year Nine Trip To Berlin
BackOur Year 9 students embarked on an unforgettable trip to Berlin, immersing themselves in the rich history and vibrant culture of the German capital.
The trip wasn’t just about sightseeing; it was a fantastic opportunity for enrichment and reflection. From exploring iconic landmarks like the Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, and the Berlin Wall, to stepping inside the eerie underground WWII and Cold War bunkers, our students gained a deeper understanding of the events that shaped the world. Our Year 9s were fantastic ambassadors on our visit to the Sachsenhausen Memorial Camp, an opportunity that gave students the chance to reflect on the powerful stories of resilience and loss.
We also made time for a little fun and adventure! Students visited the Berlin TV Tower for breath-taking views of the city, dined at the Hard Rock Café, and, of course, tried a variety of new foods that left everyone feeling curious.
The trip was not only a learning experience but also a chance for students to bond, create lasting memories, and engage in meaningful discussions about history, culture, and global citizenship. All in all, it was a perfect blend of education, exploration, and plenty of laughter along the way!
