Jack Petchey Speak Out

Each year we welcome the Speaker's trust to deliver a workshop to a group of our year 10 students.  This year we were able to include the whole year group in the workshop. The students were coached in how to structure and deliver a short speech. Watching pupils overcoming stage fright and pushing through with resilience were definitely the best things to come out from the day. 

The feedback received from the Speakers Trust said that 63% of students increased their confidence to "stand up and talk to a group of people" and 94% of students agreed that they had learnt skills that they can apply in the next stage of education, training and employment.

We look forward to taking part again next year.
