Back
October 25th 2022

According to government data published this week, students at Gaynes in 2022 made the best progress of any school in the London Borough of Havering.

Progress 8 scores measure the progress that students made from the end of primary school to their GCSEs.

This year our Progress 8 score as a school was 0.87.  This means that students made an average 0.87 of a grade more progress than is the average across all schools in England.

The average grade for the London Borough of Havering is  minus 0.17, which means that Gaynes students in 2022 made over a whole grade (1.04) more progress per subject than the average for the borough.

This is further testament to the hard work, resilience and dedication of the students of our 2022 and to the exceptional support offered by teachers and parents to make this achievement possible.
