Year 9 Netball against Abbs Cross
BackThe Year 9 netball team had their first fixture against Abbs Cross Academy on Thursday 6th October. The amount of girls attending netball club on a Thursday has been excellent and we were able to compete with an A and a B team.
We have also been participating in netball in our PE lessons and the girls’ focus and effort paid off as they used some of the tactics and skills that we have been working on in our lessons.
There was some excellent shooting and passing around the attacking circle from Millie Jones and Eniola Badmus to ensure that we were able to secure our first win of the season 8-2! The B team also worked hard and were able to make some attacking opportunities and did their best at defending any attacking play from our opponents, the final score was 2-1 – to Abbs Cross.
