“NHS Careers” Awareness Assembly 11th December

Each year group took part in a half hour interactive assembly about the various careers available within the NHS. Pupils were made aware that with over 350 different roles, such as IT support, landscape gardener and chef, working for the NHS is more than just being a nurse or a doctor. Two NHS staff members, a Brain Surgeon and a Respiratory Technician talked about their career pathways and how they found themselves working in their current role. As Havering’s biggest employer is was important to open up prospects to a future career in the NHS.
