Year 8 Stem Event

On Monday 17^th June Year 8 students had the opportunity to take part in a hands-on virtual STEM session from the Smallpiece Trust on Monday. The students used everyday items such as card, blue tack, and sellotape to build model wind turbines.

We then linked the models with the topics we have studied thus far in KS3 , such as convection currents and renewable energy resources, to explain how they worked.

Students enjoyed the experience and we look forward to our upcoming session with the Smallpiece Trust for Year 7.
