YEAR SEVEN TRIP TO INTERNATIONAL HOCKEY MATCHES

On June 11th, a group of Year 7 pupils had the exciting opportunity to watch Great Britain's men and women's hockey teams play at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre. This educational trip allowed the students to witness top-tier athletic performance, fostering a deeper appreciation for the sport and inspiring some to engage in hockey themselves.

The students took their seats to watch the men and women's team in gripping matches against formidable opponents.

The energy in the stadium was electric, with the pupils cheering enthusiastically, celebrating each goal scored by the home teams.

The men's team sealed a 2-1 victory against Spain. The women required a penalty shootout to overcome China after a 3-3 draw in regulation time.

The pupils were very impressed by the speed and skill on display, marvelling at the strategic plays and teamwork. The experience was both educational and inspiring, showing the pupils the dedication and effort required to excel in sports.

It was a day filled with excitement, learning, and inspiration that they will remember for years to come.
